Naivete, rebellion and maturity

Naivete is when you are ignorant about pretty much everything and people molly-coddle you. Slowly you start learning and realizing very many things. And you find it difficult to believe that people wont acknowledge that you are old enough to know these things and take sensible decisions on your own. There comes rebellion, to show that you are an adult. Maturity is when you realize that for you to be recognized as an adult, you need to be yourself instead of being a rebel.

Naivete is when you do not realize that these concepts are not necessarily independent of one another.
