Plunging headlong into the darkness,
seeking the bright light at the end
The tunnel holds a promise
of mystery, of surprises to fend
The promise of reward is tempting
but will it ever materialize
The journey seems unending
but would my efforts suffice
How I wish life were an open book
That I could read the last pages first
But before my naivety does me spook
I restrain my inquisitive burst
I promise myself that no matter what
I will not give up to the last
That which I aim to achieve, and that which I aim to be
It will come slow and tedious, not easy and fast
Hold on there, hang in there
I try to teach myself
You can do it, you are almost there
I keep telling myself
God Bless.
